Jamatia Hoda is the Social
organization of Jamatia clans of
Tripuri people, formed more than 400 years ago. It is one of the strongest
body in Tripura in social terms. It has a very strong rules and regulation to
guide the members of Jamatia community. It had been running a English Medium
boarding school, Garia Academy, of it's own, under the Banner of Baba Garia
Mission. In spite of financial and other constrain it has become a model for
others to follow. There are already sic classes running well under CBSE.
